102GPS
In 2023, Sky Rover Optics introduced the new 102GPS refractor telescope. Optically, the telescope adopts an air-spaced triplet apochromatic design, incorporating a Super ED glass element. The APO PRO series provides excellent control of chromatic and spherical aberrations, even at very high magnifications. A mini flange is integrated near the objective cell, helping to improve the stability of the optical axis and focal plane, while also facilitating future maintenance and adjustments. In this upgrade, the rear CAA integrated with the optical tube in earlier versions has been removed to further improve mechanical axis stability. Instead, the telescope now features a newly integrated CAA (Camera Angle Adjuster) with laser-engraved angle markings, offering smoother and more precise operation. The focuser has also been redesigned, providing improved coaxial alignment and mechanical precision. For the mounting system, the telescope uses new dual tube rings with multiple threaded holes on the sides for convenient accessory mounting. It also includes mounting points for a counterweight bar, a standard astronomical narrow dovetail plate, and a patented handle compatible with both Arca and astronomical dovetail systems. The new 102GPS also features a shorter storage length compared with the previous generation, making it more compact and convenient for transport.
