110 SAW

Specialist Astrograph Widefield Telescope

The 110SAW is a newly developed high-performance astrograph by SKY ROVER, offering top-tier imaging quality within its class. Optically, it features an integrated design with field-flattening optimization, significantly improving stability and reliability compared to Petzval-style widely separated designs. The 110SAW employs septuplets, two-group optical configuration, extensively incorporating multiple SD glass elements and specialized optical glass. This combination delivers excellent chromatic aberration control, outstanding field flatness, and minimal vignetting at the full-frame edges, while fully realizing the telescope’s high-resolution performance. The SKY ROVER Specialist Astrograph (SA) series is divided into two subseries: SAP (Specialist Astrograph Petzval) and SAW (Specialist Astrograph Widefield). The SAP series uses a Petzval-style design and requires no back focus adjustment, while the SAW series employs SKY ROVER’s innovative new structure, achieving a faster focal ratio while maintaining imaging quality comparable to the SAP. The 110SAW features a two-group optical layout, with one group at the front and one at the rear. While the structure may resemble a standard telescope plus reducer configuration, the SAW series does not achieve its fast focal ratio through a separate reducer. Instead, the front and rear groups are integrated and co-optimized, with a shorter back working distance to prevent instability typical of widely separated designs. This results in significantly improved vibration resistance and overall reliability. Important Usage Notes: Do not disassemble or separate the front and rear optical groups. The front group contains significant residual aberrations and cannot function independently. During factory production and collimation, the front and rear groups are precisely matched. Improper disassembly or reassembly will severely degrade image quality. The back focus and adjustment method differ from conventional reducer-based systems. Please carefully follow the provided instructions to achieve optimal imaging performance.
