In 2024, Sky Rover Optics introduced the new 125GPA apochromatic refractor. The updated model features a lightweight aluminum alloy optical tube, reducing the OTA weight to only 5.7 kg while also making the telescope more compact, which greatly improves portability for travel and field use. The mounting rings have been redesigned, allowing accessories to be attached to the side, improving overall usability and system expandability. For greater versatility, the new 125GPA is equipped with a removable extension tube, providing greater flexibility for both visual observation and astrophotography. The 120 mm optical tube extension is easy to remove and install. Once removed, the telescope can easily accommodate binoviewers, Matsumoto erecting systems, and other visual accessories, enabling a wide range of observing configurations.
