SKY ROVER HFW 7.7–15.4mm Aspheric Zoom Wide-Angle Eyepiece features a brand-new optical and mechanical design, making it highly versatile for both daytime terrestrial viewing and nighttime astronomical observation.
In most conventional zoom eyepieces, the field of view becomes noticeably narrower at lower magnifications, with significant variation across the zoom range. The SR 7.7–15.4mm Zoom Eyepiece has been greatly improved in this regard — whether zooming from low to high power or vice versa, the apparent field of view remains consistent throughout. The introduction of aspheric lens elements further enhances edge sharpness and overall image quality.
The eyepiece provides stepless zoom adjustment, with click stops precisely positioned at 7.7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15.4mm, allowing users to easily identify magnification levels during observation. With an eye relief of 18–20mm and a foldable eyecup, it offers a full field of view even for observers who wear glasses. The detachable eyecup design also allows convenient attachment of additional accessories.
Aesthetically, it continues the HFW series family design, featuring a stainless steel barrel compatible with both 1.25-inch and 2-inch, ensuring ease of use. Mechanically, all components have been reinforced for stability and durability. With high-precision parts and strict assembly standards, every detail is crafted to guarantee the eyepiece’s superior optical performance.
